Local elections will take place in our city alonside the AV referendum on May 5th.

Visit Burslem encourages all the candidates standing for our communities to get involved in the online coverage and meet as many voters as they can, so that voters can be as informed as possible.

The general knowledge quiz will be presented by MERVYN EDWARDS,Local Historian and Spokesman for the POTTERIES PUB PRESERVATION GROUP.Test your knowledge and enjoy Real Ale in one of the town’s finest pubs!Will all quizzers arrive around 8.30 pm for a 9.00 pm start on the evening. Maximum inany team: 4 members. £1 entrance per player. The first prize is a two-course Sunday lunchat the Duke, for 4 people, whilst second and third prizes will also be offered.

FREE Cartoons in the Park event

Burslem Park Pavilion
Burslem Park, with Stoke-on-Trent Museums and Stoke Your Fires Festival, is pleased to present Cartoons in the Park.
This is a great chance for children aged 8 to 13 to be creative, get hands-on, and direct their own park-inspired animation.

Free School idea for Queens Theatre

The Queens Theatre Production Society writes:
I would like to announce the following on behalf of a charity which is about to get underway here in Burslem.
We have decided to take up the initiative laid down by this government to open a free school located in the Princes Rooms attached to the Theatre.  This will enable children to access performing arts, fine art, technical art, and all subjects of curriculum associated with state schools but on a greater level.
