Some famous faces have been causing a stir in Burslem at the launch of a new art exhibition.
Portraits of celebrities including Laurel and Hardy, Marilyn Monroe, Johnny Depp, and Charlie Chaplin are on show in the window exhibition space at Barewell Gallery, on Market Place.
The paintings are all the work of Audley artist Ben Riley, aged 29, pictured, who can count Robbie Williams as one of his admirers after the singer’s mum Jan Williams bought a portrait of Robbie and sent it to him.
Barewall Gallery marketing manager Paula Millward said: “It has been a real hit, the door has been swinging.”
All of the work is available to buy but hurry as we have already sold 5 of the famous portraits since the exhibiton started at the end of July.
Barewall is open 9 till 5.30 Monday to Friday. Contact us on 0844 745 2818 to organise out of hours viewing over a cuppa. All work is also available to buy online http://www.barewall.co.uk
