Come and meet Santa!

Sue writes:
Santa will be in his grotto at St. Paul’s church, Dalehall on Thursday 9th December.
You can join a lantern parade at 5:30pm from the Midland Heart offices in Duncalf St (formerly the job centre).
The parade will make its way through the streets to the church hall where there will be free refreshments, carol singing and a chance to meet Santa himself (6.15-8:15pm).
Children from John Baskeyfield school have been making the lanterns, which will be handed out to everyone taking part and to passers by. This should be a fun event for all the family and a chance to see the winter streets come alive. See you there!

What are you doing in the run-up to Christmas?

Stoke Town are organising some great evenings with fireworks and food in the town, encouraging business working together giving discounts and regen helping them to market it on a Tuesday evening in Stoke Town Centre.
What is happening here in Burslem? What ideas do people have to help push destination Burslem, increase retail and trade in Burslem running up to Christmas? Can we have some events or even late night shopping with free parking one night a week for us to get behind, for example?
Christmas starts in October for retail and online so please add anything you know about here so people can plan and promote together.
Update: Robertas Bridal has been opening on Wednesday evenings for some time for their clients. This might be a good evening to open and do something that you can promote, not so busy round the pubs and it falls inbetween Hanley’s late night shopping nights.
